"Aval" bank has received the next tranche from EBRD to the sum 1 million dollars for crediting of small-scale and micro business, reported the Bank press service with reference to the chief of the department for micro crediting of the JSPPB "Aval" Svetlana GOLIENKO.

According to her, at present time the Bank actively credits the enterprises of small-scale and micro business according to the program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. For 2003 the credit portfolio on micro crediting by the EBRD line has increased 2 times and as of January, 1 2004 made up 83,5 million hryvnas.

AS S. Golienko noted, micro credits within the framework of EBRD line are granted for replenishment of circulating assets and replacement of fixed assets to the term till 12 and 18 months accordingly. Credit sum can reach 20 thousand USD or hryvna equivalent (for microcredits) and 75 thousand USD (for small-scale credits). Interest credit rate is determined according the decision of the Bank crediting committee.

According to her, the Bank also grants small-scale and micro credits according to the program of German-Ukrainian Fund. The credit portfolio by the German-Ukrainian Fund line has increased for 2003 2,5 times and as of January, 1 2004 reached 26,6 million hryvnas.
