The number of payment cards issued by Aval Bank as of April 30 this year, reached 1.85 million (as of April 1 this year it made up 1. 783 million cards), reports the Bank Press-Center with reference to Director of Retail Business Department Anton ROMANCHUK.

According to A. ROMANCHUK, in the first quarter of 2004, Aval Bank issued 216 thousand payment cards. He also noted that the Bank plans to issue about 600 thousand cards in the current year.

By the results of the first quarter of this year, the leaders by the total amount of issued cards have become the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Kherson directorates, the Kyiv Central Affiliate and the Head Office of Aval Bank.

The greatest number of cards was issued by the Bank within the framework of salary projects, including those for employees of the Open JSC "Dniprovsky Metallurgical Plant named after F. Dzerzhynsky", the OJSC "Dniproshyna", the OJSC "Molochnyk" and others.

As A. ROMANCHUK reported, in January-March this year, Aval Bank installed 117 automated teller machines, the total number of which reached 745. At that, toward the end of the current year, the Bank plans to install 383 ATMs more, while increasing their total number to 1,128.
